What Is Integrated Wellness? A Whole-Person Approach to Healing

You are probably wondering what exactly Integrated Wellness is.

It's a fair question. In fact, it took me some time to find the words that reflected my work. I'm a parent coach, wellness coach, Reiki practitioner, attachment coach, life and end-of-life doula, educator, mentor, and guide. While each of these roles offers something unique, no single title fully captures what I do.

I chose Integrated Wellness because it best reflects the philosophy that guides all of my work.

Integrated Wellness is a whole-person approach that recognizes our physical, emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being are all deeply connected. Rather than focusing on one piece in isolation, it considers how each part influences the others.

While I don't provide medical care or mental health therapy, I believe lasting well-being comes from honoring the whole person—not just the challenge that brought them through my door.

All The Parts of Ourselves

Life has a way of pulling us apart.

Stress settles into the body. Grief touches the heart. Anxiety fills the mind with worry.

Parenting can awaken old wounds, and life's transitions can leave us questioning who we are and where we're headed.

Although these experiences may seem separate, they are profoundly intertwined. We can't fully care for one part of ourselves while ignoring the others.

Integrated Wellness is about recognizing those connections and supporting healing and integration in a way that honors the whole person—mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spirit.

Why Integration?

For me, integration is about coming home to yourself.

It's bringing together the parts of your life that have become disconnected. It's learning to listen to your body, understand your emotions, quiet your mind, and reconnect with your own inner wisdom.

It's about coming back into relationship with yourself so you can move through life with greater presence, clarity, and self-trust.

Sometimes that looks like learning new parenting tools or uncovering limiting beliefs that no longer serve you.

Sometimes it means navigating grief or burnout with greater compassion.

Sometimes it's discovering healthier boundaries, regulating your nervous system, or making space for rest after years of caring for everyone else.

The path looks different for every person because each of us is beautifully unique.

My Approach

Because every person is different, I don't rely on a single method or formula. Instead, I draw from a variety of approaches based on your unique needs, strengths, and goals.

These may include:

  • Mindful and attachment-centered parenting

  • Integrative wellness coaching (beliefs, needs, emotional patterns, behaviors, communication, relationship to boundaries)

  • Reiki energy healing

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Mindfulness and meditation

  • Reflective conversation and compassionate listening

  • Somatic practices

  • End-of-life support and legacy work

Together, these approaches create a personalized experience that supports healing, growth, and lasting change.

Why This Matters

When we focus on only one aspect of ourselves, lasting change can be harder to sustain. We may solve one challenge while another takes its place because the deeper patterns remain unchanged.

Integrated Wellness invites us to slow down and ask thoughtful questions.

What is my body trying to tell me?

Why do these patterns keep repeating?

What do I feel? What do I  need?

How can I care for myself in a way that feels sustainable—not just today, but over time?

There isn’t always an easy answer, but these questions open the door to curiosity, compassion, and possibility.

It's All About Connection

Everything I do—whether supporting a parent with a behavior challenge, guiding someone through a life transition, offering Reiki for balance and inner peace, or sitting beside someone at the end of life—comes back to one thing: Connection.

Connection with yourself.

Connection with your body.

Connection with your values.

Connection with the people you love.

Connection with the wisdom that lives within you.

When we reconnect with ourselves deeply, we naturally begin making choices that feel more aligned with who we are and how we want to live. We become less reactive and more intentional. Less driven by fear and more guided by trust.

Integrated Wellness is an invitation to care for yourself as a whole person—because lasting well-being begins when every part of you is welcomed, honored, and included.
